In a demonstration of strengthening ties, Oman and Saudi Arabia have pledged to enhance their bilateral cooperation following high-level discussions between Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The talks focused on deepening collaboration in pivotal sectors such as economy, investment, logistics, and trade. The dialogue included an expanded meeting with senior officials from both nations. During these discussions, the two sides evaluated initiatives under the Joint Omani-Saudi Coordination Council. They particularly concentrated on aligning efforts with the strategic frameworks of Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030. Both countries recognized the need to foster greater involvement from the private sector to bolster economic integration and drive mutual growth.

A significant point of discussion was the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial waterway for international trade and energy transit. The ministers exchanged views on ensuring the security and safety of maritime navigation in this region. They emphasized the necessity of reducing regional tensions, avoiding escalation, and supporting diplomatic resolutions to maintain stability and secure the free passage of shipping.
