Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar recently engaged in a telephone conversation to discuss the ongoing US-Iran negotiations. They expressed a sense of optimism regarding the recent diplomatic advancements in these discussions.
Both Prince Faisal and Minister Dar welcomed the progress made in the latest round of talks held in Doha. They expressed hope that continued negotiations will eventually lead to a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the tensions that have long plagued the region.
The discussions, mediated by Qatar, have reportedly made positive strides on issues pertaining to the agreement that concluded the US-Iran conflict this past June. This agreement, facilitated by both Qatar and Pakistan, established a temporary 60-day ceasefire, setting the stage for further diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering regional stability.
Qatar’s role as a mediator in these discussions has been pivotal, and the recent talks have been deemed successful in addressing critical issues outlined in the peace memorandum. The agreement not only halted hostilities but also outlined a framework for ongoing diplomacy, which both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan hope will yield lasting peace in the region.
