Established in 2020, KFSH’s centralized Clinical Trials service was designed to streamline the research efforts of its clinicians and investigators. A significant milestone in KFSH’s research endeavors was the commencement of a Phase I clinical trial treating the first patient with locally manufactured genetically engineered CAR-T cells for relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This trial highlights the integration of local scientific expertise with advanced biomanufacturing and specialized clinical care within a unified research framework.
KFSH’s robust infrastructure for clinical trials also facilitates participation in intricate international research projects.
