Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has strongly criticized the recent assaults by Houthi forces on civilian and economic locations in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, labeling them as aggressive acts. The ministers reaffirmed the kingdom’s right to protect its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens and residents from such attacks. Furthermore, they condemned Houthi aggression on commercial vessels and international maritime navigation routes in the Red Sea.
Reports indicate that over 70 individuals, including women and children, sustained injuries due to these attacks across multiple Saudi cities. In response, authorities have been instructed to ensure that those injured receive the highest standard of medical care available.
The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, also addressed developments in the Palestinian territories. The ministers discussed ongoing Arab efforts to counter Israeli activities in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements, emphasizing the need for coordinated action.
During the session, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman briefed the Cabinet on his recent discussions with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and dialogue. These talks are part of broader efforts to strengthen ties and address pressing regional issues.
In addition, the Cabinet expressed its approval of a new agreement between the Saudi and German foreign ministries. This agreement aims to establish a strategic dialogue, enhancing consultation and coordination between the two nations, reflecting the commitment of both countries to deepening bilateral relations.
