During an official visit to Male, Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State, engaged in a significant meeting with Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The visit coincided with the 61st anniversary celebrations of the Maldives’ independence, underscoring the robust and evolving relationship between the two nations.
The meeting between Prince Mansour and President Muizzu served as a reaffirmation of the strong bilateral ties connecting Saudi Arabia and the Maldives. Prince Mansour’s participation in the independence anniversary events further highlighted the mutual respect and shared interests that underpin this diplomatic relationship.
Upon his arrival in the Maldivian capital, Prince Mansour was received with a warm welcome at Velana International Airport. This reception was led by Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, along with Mohamed Naseer, the Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations, and Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani.
