Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone discussion emphasising the urgent need to end the conflict in Sudan. Both leaders highlighted the importance of implementing measures proposed by the Quad—comprising the UAE, US, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia—to help halt the ongoing civil war.
The conversation also focused on addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with both sides stressing the need to support relief efforts as a fragile ceasefire continues.
They further discussed strengthening strategic cooperation between the UAE and the US, with particular attention to economic, scientific, commercial and emerging technology sectors.
